Name Correction in SBI 

First, you need to write an application to the SBI branch manager or service manager regarding name correction in the passbook as given below.

              Subject: Request for name spelling correction in bank account no. __________ (Bank account number)

   Respected Sir/Madam,

With due respect, my name is ____________ (your name) and I do hold a _____________ (type of bank account) account in your bank having account number _______________ (bank account number).

I would like to state that my name mentioned in you are records is ____________ (incorrect name printed in the bank account) instead of __________ (name need to be updated) which is misspelled. At the time of account opening, I have already submitted the documents with the correct name i.e. ___________ (correct name).

I request you to kindly correct my name to ______ (name required). As per requirement by the bank, I hereby enclosing the __________ (Name correction application form/ Copy of ID proof) along with the application.

Submit this application to the branch with photo ID proof like an aadhar card or PAN card and that's it they will reprint your passbook with a new name

You can also use this method in other banks this applies to all banks which you want to correct name in the bank
